Ye Olde Berry Farm
Dubbed as the “World’s Best Berries”, Ye Olde Berry Farm is beautiful event space in Hamilton that has a pick-your-own experience, with a shop facility that sells their own home-grown fresh raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, boysenberries. This farm also serve fruit ice creams, smoothies, drinks, locally sourced honeys, sauces and spreads. They also have locally sourced fruit and vegetables.
Chard Farm Winery
Chard Farm is now a thriving and beautiful vineyard owned by Rob Hay. It was formerly a market garden set up by the Chard family in the early 1860’s to feed the local gold miners as they passed by on their way to Arrowtown and Queenstown. Rob Hay arrived back in New Zealand in 1985 after studying winemaking in Germany for three years. After purchasing the farm, the family carried out further major earthworks before planting out the whole site as a vineyard. Chard Farm Winery specialises in Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurztraminer.
